Haiku- Fate Can Be Fickle

Whether Covid or flu, surely most of us have experienced the helpless feeling of being trapped with no escape!

That lurking evil virus or cold in the crowded waiting room…will it find me if I sit apart, stay still, and keep a low profile? Probably! Blessings and peace, my friends.

  1. Hi Al,

    I get you.

I’ve had all my covid jabs, my flu jab too, but know that queasy feeling when caught without a mask and someone starts coughing nearby. If possible, I hold my breath until I’ve put clear space between us.

    Peace and Blessings,

    Paul

    1. Thanks, Paul. It is good to hear from you again. I am hopeful that I will find more time and inspiration for haiku this fall and winter…I do look forward to it. I hope you are well. Blessings and peace, my UK friend!

It reminded me of my senryu written on chemotherapy during the worst wave of the pandemic in Poland …

Best wishes, Al , stay safe
